While people around the globe mourn David Bowie’s death in different ways, one man in Rome has set up a petition on change.org simply requesting “Say no to David Bowie dead.” Addressed to “God or whom it may concern,” the petition, set up by marketing executive Andrea Natella says: “David Bowie cannot be dead!” It had already garnered more than 4,800 of the requested 5,000 signatures as of Wednesday mid-day local time. Ms Natella, whose favourite Bowie song is “Life on Mars”, explained that she started the petition for several reasons: “It’s a way to think about the way that David Bowie, like other famous people, died like a fictional character. I suppose it’s also a way we can highlight how ineffective most web petitioning can be!” Indipendent
